In a bid for the better health services within our health facilities, a site handover for the construction of a storeyed building of a maternity and a theatre at Mbarara Municipal Council Health Centre IV has been carried out on Friday April 10th, 2026 by the deputy RCC South Division Gerald Tukamuhebwa, City Mayor Robert Mugabe Kakyebezi, City speaker Tashobya Bonny Karutsya, deputy town clerk Ejua Simon, technical team, political team in the presence of other key stakeholders.

This contract is for the period of 6 Months & it has commenced immediately at a cost of UGX:3,043,599,160 approximately USD 835,979. The contractor is Bullen Construction and Supplies Ltd & the funder is United States Department of State in partnership with Uganda Health Activity & the Ministry of Health.

Contractors have been advised to do a great job and  accomplish within the agreed period since they have full support from the city authorities.

Health workers have been commended for the great job they do at all our health centres.
